Strategic Partnership

Carlyle has formed a Strategic Partnership with The Hunter Dickinson Group (HDI) and Robert Dickinson. The Company acquired 100% ownership of the Newton Gold Project in B.C., which hosts an historic 2012 NI 43-101 compliant resource from Amarc Resources Ltd., an HDI affiliated public company which holds ~11% of Carlyle and is its single largest shareholder. Mr. Dickinson acts as Executive Chairman of Amarc.

The HDI track record spans over 30 years, 19 public and private companies, dozens of mineral properties on six continents, leading to the development and operation of eight mines. Along the way, HDI has raised more than C$1.9 billion in equity financing and has generated significant value for its public company shareholders - far in excess of industry peers and benchmark indices.

Mr. Dickinson is the co-founder of the HDI Mining Group and has led the development and operation of 8 mines raising over $1.9B.

​Mr. Dickinson has been active in mineral exploration for more than 40 years. In 1990, 
Mr. Dickinson was Canada's Developer of the Year; he was British Columbia's Mining Person of the Year in 2000, and in 2012 he was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in recognition of his demonstrated outstanding lifetime achievements benefiting the Canadian minerals industry. ​
Mr. Dickinson and the HDI directors received the Pacific Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004 and he and the Northern Dynasty team won the Thayer Lindsley International Discovery Award for the Pebble East deposit in 2007. He was also recognized in 2008 with the A.O. Dufresne Award for his contributions to exploration and mining in British Columbia, as well as the Charles F. Rand Memorial Gold Medal for distinguished achievement in mining administration in 2010.
